Overview of Customer Direct Debit Service Agreement
By entering into this Direct Debit Request (DDR) arrangement you authorise Lifeline Australia (ABN: 84 081 031 263) to debit your nominated account through the Bulk Electronic Clearing System (BECS) (User ID: 458551) in accordance with this agreement.
Our commitment to you
Lifeline Australia commits to storing your bank details in accordance with its Donor Management Policy and Privacy Policy which can be viewed online at www.lifeline.org.au.
Drawing arrangements
We will give you at least 14 days’ notice in writing or via email when changes to the initial terms of the arrangement are made. This notice will state the new amount, frequency, next drawing date or any other changes to the initial terms.
Your rights
If you want to make changes to the drawing arrangements such as deferring the drawing, altering the schedule, stopping an individual debit, suspending the DDR or cancelling the DDR completely, please contact us on 1800 800 768 or via email at giving@lifeline.org.au at least 7 days prior to the next scheduled drawing date.
Disputes
- If you believe that a drawing has been initiated incorrectly, we encourage you to take the matter up directly with us.
- If you do not receive a satisfactory response from us to your dispute, contact your financial institution.
- You will receive a refund of the drawing amount if we cannot substantiate the reason for the drawing.
Note: Your financial institution will ask you to contact us to resolve your disputed drawing prior to involving them.

Direct all enquiries to Lifeline Australia on 1800 800 768 or via email at giving@lifeline.org.au, rather than to your financial institution, and these should be made at least 7 working days prior to the next scheduled drawing date. All communication addressed to us should include your Supporter Number, Full Name and Date of Birth.
Your commitment to us
It is your responsibility to ensure that:
- your nominated account can accept direct debits (your financial institution can confirm this); and
- that on the drawing date there is sufficient cleared funds in the nominated account; and
- that you advise us if the nominated account is transferred or closed
